Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Qanoni collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Qanoni mobile application and website.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your name, mobile number, email address and profile photo.
- Service information — the requests you submit, the details of your case or enquiry, and your messages with the assigned team.
- Documents — files you upload to support a request or store in your document wallet.
- Booking records — the consultations you book, reschedule or cancel.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — device model, operating system, app version, and how you use the app.
- Notification token — an identifier that lets us send you push notifications about your requests.
- Log data — technical records of requests to our servers, kept for security and troubleshooting.
Payment information
Card payments are handled by our payment provider. Your full card number is entered on their secure page and is not stored on our servers. We keep only the record of the payment: amount, method, status and reference.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, and verify your mobile number.
- To deliver the services you request and share the necessary details with the assigned professional.
- To process payments, issue receipts and keep accounting records.
- To notify you about bookings, request progress and deliverables.
- To provide support when you contact us.
- To improve the app, diagnose faults and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary:
- Legal professionals and staff assigned to your request — limited to what they need to carry out the work.
- Our payment provider, to process a payment you initiate.
- Technology providers who host our servers, send notifications, or provide support tooling, under agreements that require them to protect your data.
- Authorities, where disclosure is required by law or to establish or defend a legal claim.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days, except for records we are required to retain — such as invoices and transaction records — which are kept for the period set by applicable law and then deleted.
5. How we protect your information
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled servers. Access to case documents is limited to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the competent authority where required if a breach affects you.
6. Your rights
You can:
- Access and update your profile details in the app at any time.
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate.
- Delete your account and its data — see the Delete Account page for how.
- Turn off push notifications in your device settings.
- Object to a particular use of your data, or withdraw consent where processing is based on it.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on the Support page. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
7. Children
Qanoni is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Data location and transfers
Your data is processed on servers used to operate the service and may be handled by providers located outside your country. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure your data remains protected to the standard described in this policy.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service develops. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed, and we will notify you in the app before a material change takes effect.
10. Contact
For any question about this policy or about your data, contact our support team using the details on the Support page.
