Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Qanoni application and website. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms.

1. Who may use Qanoni

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. When you register, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for everything that happens through your account.

2. Your account

Accounts are verified using your mobile number. Keep your verification codes and device secure — we will never ask you for them by phone or message. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

3. What Qanoni provides

Qanoni connects you with legal professionals and legal service providers. Through the app you can:

  • Browse legal services and their published fees.
  • Book consultations in the available time slots.
  • Submit service requests and upload the supporting documents they require.
  • Track the progress of a request and receive its deliverables.
  • Communicate with the assigned team and store your documents in your document wallet.

Qanoni is a platform. Legal work is carried out by the licensed professionals engaged through the service, and their professional obligations apply to that work.

4. No lawyer–client relationship is created by browsing

Reading content in the app, browsing services, or submitting a general enquiry does not by itself create a lawyer–client relationship, and nothing in the app is legal advice for your particular situation. Such a relationship begins only when a service is confirmed and the assigned professional has accepted the engagement.

5. Bookings and appointments

A booking is confirmed only after the time slot is reserved and any required payment is completed. Appointment times are shown in the application's timezone. If you cannot attend, cancel or reschedule from the app — see the Cancellation Policy for the notice periods and any refund that applies.

6. Fees and payment

The fee for each service is displayed before you confirm. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details. Where bank transfer is available for a service, your request proceeds once the transfer has been received and verified. Unless stated otherwise, fees are quoted in Egyptian Pounds and include applicable taxes.

7. Documents you upload

You are responsible for having the right to share any document you upload, and for its accuracy. Do not upload material that belongs to someone else without their permission, or that is unlawful. We may refuse or remove content that breaches these terms.

8. Confidentiality

Documents and case details you share are treated as confidential and are made available only to the professionals and staff who need them to deliver your service, and to anyone you ask us to share them with, except where disclosure is required by law.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, do not attempt to access another user's account or data, interfere with the operation or security of the platform, use the service to send unlawful or abusive content, or copy or resell any part of the platform without our written permission.

10. Intellectual property

The application, its design, text, and software are owned by Qanoni or its licensors. Documents produced for you as part of a service are yours to use for the purpose they were prepared for.

11. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Qanoni available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates or events outside our control may interrupt the service. We may add, change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice where a change materially affects you.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or is used unlawfully. You may close your account at any time — see the Delete Account page. Closing your account does not affect obligations already incurred, such as fees for work already carried out.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Qanoni is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for outcomes that depend on decisions of courts, authorities or third parties. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed, and we will notify you in the app before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Qanoni after that date means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Egypt have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

16. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to our support team using the contact details on the Support page.
